CWDM technology is designed to combine up to eight fiber connections and reduce costs in long-distance fiber installations.

Coarse Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (CWDM) (Kaba Dalga Boyu Bölmeli Çoklama) technology provides a solution to increase capacity. It does not add extra cost as multiple channels/wavelengths are provided over the existing fiber infrastructure.

The MikroTik CWDM is a passive MUX / DEMUX unit that combines up to eight fiber connections. At the other location, the combined line is split again, so you only need one fiber cable instead of eight long fiber cables.

Our CWDM solution allows signals to be transmitted and received over wavelengths from 1470 nm to 1610 nm. A dual-fiber cable connects to two CWDM MUX / DEMUX units and supports the same wavelengths at both ends of the fiber optic network. Each CWDM unit has a filter set for a device.

Therefore, the specific wavelength must be correctly connected to the relevant port.
